In London's East End during the 1990s recession, disillusioned unemployed teenagers Darren and Ray 'duck and dive'. The upsurge of extreme right-wing politics echoes Darren and Ray s disenchantment, culminating in the mindless attack on an Asian woman, Aarti. From that point onward, as Ray becomes more involved in militant politics, Darren is hounded by hallucinating visions compelling him to desperately explore his bond with Aarti.
