Set at the end of the Second World War, Victory takes us back to the 'birth' of the teenager in the 1940s. It is VE day and a young man turns 17, but it's too late for him to see active service . . . What was it like growing up in austerity Britain? How did young people cope with being forced to become adults so quickly in such troubled times?
