Woza Albert! archiveThis is a show bursting with physical energy and wit, zest for life, inventiveness and a sense of optimistic fun. Christ comes face to face with apartheid when His 'second coming' takes Him from Jerusalem to Johannesburg on a jumbo jet! A series of lightning character sketches zig-zag through the course of His second, illuminating the stark contrasts of every-day life in South Africa. Tourist spots, like the gold mines and Sun City, are shown against the teeming pavements of Albert Street and the frantic search for work.
