A multi-media adaptation of the original Chinese Cinderella Story AD 850-860.
Yeh Hsien brings together four art forms; live performance, video projection, original sound, all contained in a multi-sensory set.
Yeh Hsien tells the story of a brother and sister whose parent leave them in the hands of the Sky-God and Fish-Spirit. However, they are brought up instead by their stepmother who mistreats them by sending them out on dangerous errands. This is where their magical and adventurous journey begins. The Half Moon Disability Youth Theatre comprises of young people aged between 14-18 with physical disabilities and sensory impairment. The production has a sign interpreter and is funded by SCOPE, Children in Need, LAB, LBG, Tower Hamlets and ITC.
