Reg is a grumpy octogenarian. He's rude to his carer and he drives his long-suffering grandson potty. But it's only when he appears on a TV quiz show that we realise what has made him so fiercely independent, and Reg comes to terms with the advancing years. The Generation Gap is a heart-warming and totally non-patronising study of old-age and loneliness, both touching and comical, made more so because Reg is a near life-size hand puppet, manipulated by the two performers, who play all the other characters. Full House Theatre Company creates dynamic theatre for family audiences, using classic storytelling techniques, original music and giant puppetry.
