War and Peace is new fiction with a political edge from Russia, a country embracing a new social and economic freedom, yet still haunted by a dark past. The event features bilingual readings and appearances by three of its authors - Arkady Babchenko, Maria Rybakova and Olga Slavnikova - and is chaired by Andrew O'Hagan (in association with New Writing North).
