Alan Seaman takes a look at Realism in British Cinema from its roots in the 1930's through to gritty Northern dramas of the 60s and more contemporary developments via Ken Loach and Shane Meadows. A 45 min illustrated presentation is followed by a screening of Meadows' A Room for Romeo Brass (15). Education packs are provided. Suitable for BTEC, GNVQ, GCSE and A Level Film and Media Studies.
