Madness and mayhem reign for two weeks this summer as the larger than life half-masked characters of the Commedia Dell'Arte take to the stage. Through a mixture of rehearsals and skills based workshops, including mask and slapstick, participants will work together to devise their own crazy scenario, in a style of theatre that has inspired artists from Shakespeare to Monty Python. The course will culminate in a performance on stage here in the Theatre Royal. This is a great opportunity for anybody between the age of 14 and 35 interested in the theatre. No previous experience necessary, but enthusiasm and commitment are vital.
