Awakening is a unique artistic experiment - combining outdoor, indoor and virtual space. The main piece, The Man-Vessel is a 27 feet wooden sculpture that will be placed outdoor on the Dorset Wharf mooring, only a few hundred yards away from Riverside Studios. This piece will be accompanied by 11 other larger-than-life sculptures in the Riverside gallery. This exhibition will also be displayed in a virtual project room on the internet. For the first time you can experience the sculpture of Mircea Roman in different spaces simultaneously. Mircea Roman is a leading contemporary artist who has exhibited at many international events including the Venice Biennale and Osaka Triennale and his work is part of many public and private collections. In this unique solo show, work from the last two years will be shown for the first time.
