Design for Dance
Explore the links between dance and fashion at a design showcase for the English National Ballet. Continuing the legacy of Ballets Russes, Design for Dance explores the artistic partnership between dance, art and fashion design. British choreographer George Williamson, designer David Bamber and students from Marangoni Institute showcase their extraordinary designs for English National Ballet's new production of Firebird in London's Living Room. Join emerging talent and aficionados from the dance and fashion worlds as they expose artistic collaborative processes and debate fashion's influence in designing for dance. Hear their thoughts as they reflect on the Firebird project and discuss how designing for dance differs from designing for fashion. This event takes place at Chamber and London Living Room at City Hall, Greater London Authority, Queen's Walk, SE1 2AA. Part of London 2012 Festival
