Chip Van Plays Dixie

Details

Earthfall was formed in 1989 by Jessica Cohen and Jim Ennis with a policy of forging radical choreography with live music and strong visual imagery. The company is based in Cardiff and has rapidly established itself as an outstanding exponent of pioneering dance theatre. Earthfall's issue-based work is concerned with seeking a personal honesty, passion and economy in physical performance to produce quality work of depth. Earthfall has performed throughout the world in many major festivals and has featured on numerous TV and radio broadcasts. After the Birds follows a group of rebels who attempt to create a new, pure, uncorrupted society halfway between humans and the gods. In this vision of a comedic non-conformist utopia and with reference to a politically unified but still divided Europe, the departure from one jaded and corrupt society leads to the formation of a seemingly new jaded and corrupt society inevitably involved in imposing heavy limitations and conditions.
