In September it is possible that a COVID vaccination certificate (or exemption) may be mandated for entry. Please note that iUKTDb archive listings between March 2020 and July 2021 may not be accurate as we did not receive details of all rescheduled and cancelled shows.

Shobana Jeyasingh Dance create a powerful new dance work especially for historic churches. Shobana Jeyasingh Dance presents TooMortal, an atmospheric new work created for churches in London, Stockholm and Venice. Inspired by their dramatic architecture, Jeyasingh's striking choreography contrasts and complements the rhythms and spaces of these historic buildings. Exploring notions of the church as a sanctuary, the work offers an intimate, reflective respite to the busy hubbub of the streets outside. TooMortal explores both human vulnerability and tenacity within a sacred and contemplative setting. Offering surprising new perspectives, Jeyasingh's choreography sees the dancers travelling over the pews on a powerful and mesmerising journey. This event takes place at St Mary's Old Church, Church Street, Stoke Newington, N16 9ES. Part of London 2012 Festival
