The Soldier's Tale (L'Histoire du Soldat)

The Soldier's Tale (L'Histoire du Soldat)T01296251914
The Soldier's Tale (L'Histoire du Soldat) tells the Faustian tale of a soldier who sells his soul to the devil in return for infinite wealth, and explores the concepts of evil, duality and temptation. Stravinsky worked with the writer, Rumuz on this innovative work of music theatre in 1918 while living in Switzerland, surrounded by war-torn Europe.
