Celebrating his 80th year in 2015, one of Ireland's most renowned actors and performers, Des Keogh, gets to fulfil a life-long ambition to play legendary Irish man of letters George Bernard Shaw. Following the phenomenal world-wide success of his show The Love-Hungry Farmer by John B. Keane, which had a very successful run at the Lyric in 2013; Des has devised and will perform in a hugely entertaining new play about the many ladies in the extraordinary life of one of the greatest playwrights of all time. Author of Pygmalion, which became the smash-hit film My Fair Lady, Shaw shares anecdotes about the loves of his life, who included leading actresses of his day like Mrs Pat Campbell and Ellen Terry and elaborates on his forthright views on marriage and celibacy.
