CORONAVIRUS:All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 and look like staying closed until March 2021 with the exception of a few, patchy, openings (and subsequent closures) towards the end of 2020. Some open-air, drive-in venues have been opened for periods and many shows are now streaming on-line. Sadly, some venues and shows may not survive. We are updating our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as they are reported.
Or What You Will. Shakespeare comedy of mistaken identity, practical jokes and unrequited love. Rescued from a shipwreck the twins Viola and Sebastian arrive independently in Illyria, both thinking the other is drowned. Viola disguises herself as a boy and finds employment with the Duke who is in love with Olivia. Malvolio is the subject of a cruel joke played on him by Sir Toby Belch (yellow stockings cross-gartered) leading him to believe that Olivia loves him. But Olivia has fallen in love with the disguised Viola, while she is in love with the Duke (following it so far?!).

For two months The HandleBards, a four strong, all male troupe of travelling players are cycling from Glasgow to London, carrying with them all the necessary set, props and costumes needed to perform two of Shakespeare's greatest plays: Twelfth Night and Romeo and Juliet. This won't be your average bittersweet comedy of cross-dressing, love sickness and cunning schemes. The HandleBards will be performing Twelfth Night with bicycle powered sets, a lot of surprises and eight very sore legs! This event takes place at the Royal Hospital Chelsea
