An outing to Tredegar House, one of the finest country house in Wales which dates back to the 17th century. After a private guided tour, lunch has been arranged at the Priory Hotel in nearby Caerleon. Originally a Cistercian monastery, the hotel became the residence of the Morgan family, the builders of Tredegar House. A Blue Badge Guide will accompany the tour to Caerleon's Roman amphitheatre, which held 6,000 spectators; unique barracks, baths and museum. Caerleon was a much larger Roman settlement than Bath and was the metropolis of Wales in Roman times.
