In association with BBC Radio Merseyside Persecution over sexual freedom is common in post-invasion Iraq but rarely reported. Pink Iraq will take an unflinching look at the violence and human rights abuses suffered by gay and lesbian Iraqis and by women, as death squads target gays on a daily basis and a teenage girl is publicly stoned to death for falling in love across the ethnic divide. The evening will be chaired by leading gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell and feature contributions from Ali Hili of Iraqi LGBT and Houzan Mahmoud of the Organization of Women’s Freedom in Iraq. Originally presented at Soho Theatre
