Details

The old Cossack military commander Mazepa wishes to marry a willing young girl, Mariya, to the horror of her father Kochubei. He decides to undermine Mazepa by informing the tsar of the old man's plan to join forces with the king of Sweden. Supported by the WNO Partnership. Sung in Russian with English surtitles (+ Welsh in Cardiff and Llandudno). Approx. running time 3 hours 30 minutes.
