Leyland: The Bison of Beal archiveA journey through the extraordinary life of millionaire C J Leyland - one-time owner of Haggerston Castle, alleged gun-runner, menagerie-keeper, steam-turbine-designer, and breeder of the eponymous (and now infamous) Leylandii cypress. Based on extensive original research by Christopher Shaw, this unusual and touching play - starring the long-dead Christopher John Leyland - explores the remarkable ups and downs of a unique life through the lens of an unreliable narrator... This production is a co-production between the specially-formed Leylandii Theatre Company and The Maltings. A percentage of the ticket price will be donated directly to the Palace Green Pavilion Trust.
