To The Manchester Born is a night dedicated to a scene today's music owes so much. Before 'Madchester' and 'Britpop', the nation stood up and listened to the music coming from the North West. This show will capture its essence and spirit with a tribute of three live performances from the acts that made an era that will never be forgotten. The Clone Roses - The Clone Roses are now regarded by many as the UK's No1 Tribute to Manchester legends "The Stone Roses". They include all the classics in their set such as: Waterfall, Fools Gold and I am the Resurrection. Last year the band supported Happy Mondays at Brixton Academy to over 4000 fans! The Smiths Indeed - The band strive to re-create the experience of seeing a mid 1980s Smiths concert, including not only the sound, but also the wardrobe, attitude, stage show and various accoutrements. The Smiths Indeed recently played a successful run of academy shows throughout the UK and are seen by Smiths fans as the best. Tom Hingley of Inspiral Carpets - Front man of one of the most influential bands to come out of Manchester, The Inspiral Carpets. Tom will be opening the show and treating us to hits such as ‘Saturn 5’,’ I want you’, ‘Joe’ and of course his massive hit ‘This is how it feels to be lonely’. This is a Shine Like Stars event.
