Worthing Twinning Association Concert archiveOver 150 musicians from England and Germany will join together for a spectacular evening of music in Worthing. The concert takes place as part of a week of events celebrating the visit of the two German bands to Worthing and will also include performances in Worthing town centre and at St Michael and All Angels Church, Lancing and visits to schools in the Worthing area. Worthing was twinned with the Elztal Region of Germany in 1997. The Elztal Region is situated in the southern part of the Black Forest, close to Freiburg and Strasbourg. It is part of the administrative region of Baden-Württemberg and is also known as the Zweitälerland: this means 'area of the two valleys'. Worthing is also twinned with Les Pays des Olonnes on the west coast of France. Featuring Das Jugendblasorchester and GSG Big Band from Worthing’s twin town of Waldkirch in the Black Forest region of Germany. Joining them for the evening will be the Northbrook Community Concert Band and Sir Robert Woodard Academy Band.
