Cherry Docs archiveCaught between his career and his principles, Jewish lawyer Danny must defend Mike, an aggressive and violent skinhead accused of a vicious racist murder. Over the course of developing a defence for Mike, an intense and fiery relationship develops between the two men and the Danny is forced to examine the limits of his own liberalism. Cherry Docs is a two-hander that explores modern racial tension through the lives of two diametrically opposed men. The piece's provocative subject matter poses some of the most relevant questions in today's society. Rich with religious undertones, the play explores how racism, class and economic disadvantage still play a role in the twenty first century.
