Can you see me? Dancer/choreographer Zoi Dimitriou’s poignant and humorous solo Can you see me? unravels the complex relationships that lead to solidarity and allegiance between a live performer and theatre audience. In a dazzling interplay of movement, text and new media, she makes the audience complicit and lures them into re-examining the act of seeing and being seen. She is a Greek choreographer and performer who has worked and trained extensively in Athens, New York but is currently based in London. Her new work, commissioned by Lynn Seymour for The National Ballet Company of Greece, premieres in Athens in April 2007. Mirjami and Mikael Satu Tuomisto is a Finnish choreographer and filmmaker. Her new duet Mirjami and Mikael takes in stretched underpants, remote controlled cars, physical contact, laughter, 1970s wallpaper and saunas. 2 Hard 2 Breathe Irven Lewis’ hard hitting new work takes on those difficult male relationships - between father and son, brothers and peer friendships. Dominated by the physicality of the cast and the seamless blending of dance theatre, lyrics, music and film, 2 Hard 2 Breathe mixes street, hip hop and contemporary dance to create a dark picture of a hostile, bullying culture of machismo that demands conformity.
