Roots of India archiveIn association with Matra we bring you a dynamic ensemble of award winning and highly acclaimed artists performing together for this unique evening. Described as one of the most exciting and technically brilliant musicians on the British Asian scene. Manjeet Singh Rasiya is widely recognised as one of the finest percussionists, whose flair and creative innovative rhythms have lead him to work with the late great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. His performance highlights include the Royal Albert Hall and High Grove for his the Prince of Wales and Sir Elton John. London based Tarun Jasani is a highly accomplished sarod player belonging to the Shahjahanpur Gharana who has performed around the world. Joining them will be Kathak dancers Hanna Mannila who has performed at the Lowry, Purcell Rooms and National to name a few and Jonathan Lawrence who studied Hindustani bansuri with Clive Bell at the Bhavan Centre.
