Mark and Wynne Evans archiveBrothers Mark and Wynne Evans are back in their hometown after a demanding year that has seen the pair hit some of the biggest stages in the opera world - and in Wynne’s case, enter UK living rooms as the flamboyant Gio Compario, star of the Go Compare adverts. Wynne is one of the UK’s leading tenors, having sung as principal with most of the leading opera houses, including the Royal Opera House, the Welsh National Opera and the English National Opera and has also sung to over 75, 000 people at the Millennium Stadium at Rugby Internationals. Brother Mark’s high Italianate baritone voice has taken him to opera stages and concert platforms across the UK, Europe, the Far East, the US and Sydney where he recently appeared in the title role in Mozart’s Marriage Of Figaro. This busy performer has just landed a part in Guy Richie’s sequel to the box office blockbuster Sherlock Holmes and filming has already started. Coming together for this unique evening, the brothers will be serving up some festive magic and taking the audience on a romp through musical favourites from La Boheme to Phantom Of The Opera. They will be joined by Welsh National Opera Soprano Elizabeth Donovan. A night for lovers of musical theatre and opera alike and certainly one not to be missed!
