McGregor's new work Kairos is a seamless marriage of design and structure set to Max Richter's celebrated reimagining of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons and features striking designs by leading British artist Idris Khan. In Sonett Ballett Z?rich's Artistic Director Christian Spuck plunges into the mysterious world of William Shakespeare's late sonnets weaving together music, dance and language with his customary theatrical flair and passion. Spuck returns to Edinburgh following his highly successful 2009 visit with The Return of Ulysses from the Royal Ballet of Flanders. As a dancer he performed with Jan Lauwers's Needcompany and Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker's Rosas before going on to become choreographer in residence at Stuttgart Ballet and Director of Ballett Zurich. Wayne McGregor is internationally renowned for his physically testing choreography and ground breaking collaborations across dance, film, music, visual art, technology and science. In 1992 he founded Wayne McGregor | Random Dance and in 2006 was appointed Resident Choreographer at The Royal Ballet.
