Sophie-Louise Dann archiveSophie-Louise Dann - Born in Sussex Sophie-Louise trained at Arts Educational Schools, London and made her West End debut in 42nd Street. In addition to her prestigious theatre credits Sophie has performed shows at leading international cabaret venues including the celebrated New York theatrical haunt Sardi’s, The Jermyn St Theatre, London and The Minerva Theatre, Chichester. This season will mark her solo Pizza on the Park debut, after appearing in the cast of THE 1959 BROADWAY SONGBOOK earlier this year. A seasoned performer of Gilbert and Sullivan she made her BBC Proms debut as Lady Saphir in Patience conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras. For D’Oyly Carte and Carl Rosa Opera Companies she has sung Cousin Hebe in HMS Pinafore, Kate in The Yeomen Of The Guard (Savoy), Pitti-Sing in The Mikado, Edith in Pirates of Penzance and the title role in Iolanthe (Gielgud). In 2006 she created the role of Dot Robinson in the World Premiere of The Original Chinese Conjuror for Aldeburgh/Almeida Opera. Sophie’s extensive concert career has seen her headline at the Royal Albert Hall with pianist Jonathan Cohen as part of Raymond Gubbay’s Christmas Festival. She is a regular guest artiste on Radio 2’s ‘Friday Night Is Music Night’ and has appeared with the BBC Concert Orchestra in ‘More Of Loesser’ (BBC Radio 3), Pal Joey & On Your Toes (Brighton Dome) and as Carrie in Carousel (RFH, St.David’s Hall).
