Details
Ensemble 360 was formed in 2005 to take up residency in South Yorkshire succeeding The Lindsays who were retiring as a quartet. The ensemble brings together musicians from across the globe to form one versatile ensemble of eleven musicians; five wind players, a pianist, double bassist and the Elisas String Quartet. Ensemble 360 makes its own contribution to the Olympic celebrations with a programme designed to inspire us all to get active! A rare chance to hear Andre Caplet's effervescent Quintet, pieces featured at the 1936 and 1984 Olympic Games, music by composers with some surprising connections to the world of sport, and a new work by US-born composer Stephen Montague.
