World Premiere. A solo piece which explores the concept of sampling movement and choreography. Riff is based on sampled excerpts of three other works: Shobana Jeyasingh's Transtep, Laila Diallo's Out of sight in the direction of my body and William Forsythe's Evidentia Solo, Matthias, a charismatic presence on stage, performs a truly mesmerizing solo to an original sound score by artist and musician Scanner.
