Set in 1964 in the far North East of Scotland, Byrne brings us, in his own inimitable style, an eclectic mix of characters at a time when the sexual revolution was at its peak...everywhere that is apart from Balinroich! This is a story of unrequited love and unfulfilled ambitions which burn deep into the soul with almost tragic consequences, but which ends with a glimmer of hope and optimism.
