In a bloody civil war, a rebel girl fighting for the revolutionary army captures an Army Officer. Their opposing views have left millions dead. Now, left alone on an island, they must decide whether to continue the battle for their political ideals, or yield to their brewing sexual desires. Terterian, highly respected in his adopted Germany, unashamedly immersed his work in Western, progressive concepts whilst retaining his distinctive, Armenian voice. In this intense psychological opera he lays bare the volatility of human beings in love and war.
