I'd Rather Go Blind archiveMichelle and Ruby look like any other mother and daughter. They dance together, they sing together, fight with each other and hide from each other. But as it approaches Ruby's birthday, Michelle wonders if perhaps she has been too hidden. Inspired and informed by women who have lived through the criminal justice system, Somalia Seaton's I'd Rather Go Blind, is a tender exploration of what it takes to be a mother in a world that is closing in around you. I'd Rather Go Blind is produced in celebration of the extraordinary women Futures Theatre and Somalia Seaton worked with throughout 2017.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
