The Dolls of New Albion, A Steampunk Opera is a ninety minute, four act musical. Each short act follows a different generation of the McAlistair family in the fantastic city of New Albion. The story begins when lonely scientist Annabelle attempts to revive a dead lover. Her actions set into motion an escalating series of events, which will alter the world around them. A key member of each generation of McAlistair makes a crucial and flawed choice motivated by selfish love. The fate of New Albion hangs in the balance of their actions. Work in Progress. The Dolls of New Albion is produced by Compan?a Y and is directed by Mark Swetz and is an Ovalhouse FiRST BiTE: new performance pieces, currently in development and presented as work-in-progress showings.
