Details

La Gazza ladra. Set in an Italian village in the early 1800s a servant girl is engaged to the son of the farmer in whose house she is employed. Accused of stealing a silver spoon she is condemned to death but is saved at the last minute as the people learn that the thief was a magpie. Revival, sung in English.
