MacGregor is one of the world's most wide ranging and influential musicmakers. As a concert pianist she has worked with such eminent figures as Pierre Boulez, Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Colin Davis, and has premiered landmark works from Django Bates to John Adams. A restless innovator, she has continued to break down musical barriers throughout her career, including cross-genre collaborations with Brian Eno, Nitin Sawhney and, at this year's London Jazz Festival, virtuoso oud player Dhafer Youssef. One of the world’s most wide-ranging, innovative and imaginative musicians, pianist Joanna MacGregor performs an eclectic programme that includes Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, six mazurkas by Chopin, six dances by Bartók and Bach’s French Suite No.5.
