Eliza Carthy will be performing traditional material drawn from her stunning career and chart topping album Wayward Daughter. The daughter of English greats Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson, her fiddle playing is soaring with visceral, intricate emelody and her voice is charged with deep soul and emotion. She battled back from career threatening vocal surgery and is now stronger than ever. This year, Eliza Carthy was nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Album of the Year for The Moral of the Elephant, a joint album with her father Martin. Her band, The Wayward, include some of the finest players of recent times. Members have played with bands such as Bellowhead, Mawkin, the Emily Portman Trio and the Peatbog Fairies.
