Txalaparta (2001) is inspired by the sound, form and textures of the traditional Basque Country instrument of the same name. Made out of two wooden planks and
Txalaparta vibrates when struck by two people with wooden sticks emanating a wonderful sound, its origins lies in Spanish ceremonies for cider making as the juice is beaten from the apple.
White Darkness (2001) is a dark reflection on life inspired by the pulsing music of Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. Four couples dance a quirky series of racing duets whilst a troubled soul searches for the light finally left alone and engulfed in a dramatic shower of white.
Archangelo (2000) is based on Corelli's
Concerto Grossi.
