Phaedra burns with illicit desire for her stepson. But even in the closest physical proximity, her loved one remains as inaccessible as ever. Krzysztof Warlikowski's new production is based on the provocative text of Sarah Kane's Phaedra's Love, incorporating extracts from J M Coetzee's novel Elizabeth Costello, and fresh material from Lebanese-Canadian playwright Wajdi Mouawad. Performed in French with English surtitles.
