The Tremeloes archiveThe group formed in 1958 as Brian Poole and the Tremoloes. Decca notoriously chose them over The Beatles whom they had auditioned on the same day. They first charted with a version of ‘Twist and Shout’ (1963), followed by the chart topping ‘Do You Love Me’. ‘Candy Man’ and ‘Someone Someone’ were also UK Top 10 hits in 1964. They had an even more successful hit run from 1967 onwards with ‘Here Comes My Baby’; ‘Suddenly You Love Me’, ‘Hello World’, ‘My Little Lady’, and ‘Silence is Golden’. They recorded several more singles throughout the 70’s including ‘Blue Suede Tie’, ‘Ride On’, ‘It's OK (Say Ole If You Love Me)’, and ‘Do I Love You’, and today The Tremeloes live on playing to an enthusiastic audience wherever they perform.
