In their second Proms appearance this summer, Mariss Jansons and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra are joined by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Choir for Mahler's transcendent 'Resurrection' Symphony. Soprano Genia Kuhmeier and mezzo-soprano Anna Larsson are the soloists in a work that begins with a depiction of a funeral procession and opens out into a vision of life after death.
