Recognised as one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world, Martin Simpson has won BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for Musician of the Year and Album of the Year, twice and also for Best Original Track in 2008. Described by The Sunday Times as ‘one of the UK’s finest folk musicians’ tonight Martin will be in the company of two others, ace squeezebox player Andy Cutting, who last appeared at the Theatre with June Tabor, and Kate Rusby’s highly respected bass player Andy Seward.
