An honest celebration of life, womanhood, love and pain. Venus Hottentot tells the remarkable, shocking true story of Sara Baartmaan, a young Koisan woman shipped to England in 1810 to star in a circus of fascination for a European public obsessed by her large buttocks, she live only five more years, her skeleton preserved in Paris.
