Spitalfields Music Summer Festival returns for a fortnight of high quality music blending the very best in early music with world premieres from some of the most exceptionally talented composers in the country, as we return to the exquisite spaces of Wilton’s Music Hall and Christ Church, Spitalfields. There’s also music in Spitalfields market every weekday lunchtime, walks to discover the area and its hidden history, a fun-packed family day, talks exploring more about music and a long weekend on the Spitalfields Routemaster bus! This summer marks the final Festival for our Artistic Director, Diana Burrell, as she comes to the end of her tenure. Her Concerto for Violin with Singer and Three Ensembles forms part of a trio of headline world premieres for the Summer Festival with Jonathan Dove and Michael Finnissy also debuting new works.
