The competition makes its debut this year as part of the festival. Some of the country’s leading brass bands perform their own choice of marches and solos together with a championship section test piece. The great variety of music provides a hugely entertaining event for brass band enthusiasts and those new to the genre. Bands are competing for a 7500 prize and details of those competing will appear on the BRASS Festival web site in due course.
