Details

We are interested in making opera from incidental, minor stories. A newspaper cutting - "Wind blows kite-boy half a mile" - led us to St Osyth. This story led to other, unexpected stories, original texts and scores to work from - first hand accounts dating back 400 years, sentimental poems, letters and stories. Part of the power of this piece is that all these stories exist in one location. Developed at the National Theatre Studio
