Details

As part of the RSC Open Stages project engaging with and supporting amateur theatre, we have invited amateur theatre companies from across the region to produce their own Shakespeare or Shakespeare inspired productions. As a celebration of both Shakespeare and amateur theatre, 6 of these amateur companies will be performing extracts from their productions as part of our final Open Stages showcase event at the RSC's Courtyard Theatre. Companies involved include Quaintwood Players, The Nonentities, Cumnor Players, Bridgnorth Players, X-entricity, and Leicester Drama Society. The evening is made up of some of Shakespeare's most well know scenes from some of his greatest plays including A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Merry Wives of Windsor, As You Like It, Macbeth and The Taming of the Shrew, as well as extracts from work inspired by Shakespeare.
