The Things That Go Bump Season - Haunting Julia/Life & Beth/Snake in the Grass archiveThree plays about the ghosts which lurk in the dark corners of all our minds. Alan Ayckbourn is English theatre's most performed playwright (except for Shakespeare of course). Because of his long association with the New Vic, every autumn we get the first chance to see his latest production from his own theatre, the Stephen Joseph in Scarborough. This year he's bringing three! Haunting Julia, Snake in the Grass and his latest play, Life & Beth, are three entirely separate plays from our greatest comic writer. Their only link is that they all deal with matters supernatural. Together, they make up The Things That Go Bump season. If you find that one Alan Ayckbourn just isn't enough, this is your chance to enjoy three in just three weeks!
