Details
Viennese pianist Till Fellner, a one-time student of Alfred Brendel, performs classics from the German tradition of music for the keyboard. Opening with Mozart's reflective Rondo in A minor, he continues with four of Bach's Preludes and Fugues, in which Bach explores a great range of texture and expression. After Haydn's sparkling Piano Sonata in D major, the second half is devoted to Schumann's ?Davidsb?ndlert?nze' - dances evoking the composer's two contrasting alteregos, the extrovert Florestan and the introvert Eusebius.
