Talking Trees is a vast interactive 10 acre art installation of a 100 magic sound zones created by designer Anthony Roland. Visitors have access to 62 hours of audio archives which have been divided into the following three categories: 1.World Englishes (34 Zones): All the different spoken Englishes from around the world. 2. Writers Talk (23 Zones): Sixty eight great writers speak (uncensored) about their lives and work. List includes Maya Angelou, Margaret Atwood, Salman Rushdie, Harold Pinter, Ben Okri, Gore Vidal and many more. 3. Cries of the Wild(43 Zones): Wildlife Sounds from the seven continents including lions feeding, a wolf calling to its pack, laughing hippos, calls of kookaburras, frogs, insects, gibbons and many many more. Both kids and adults will be thrilled by these amazing sounds from the natural world. Talking Trees provides braille maps for the blind for the event. People with hearing disabilites who use hearing aids have enjoy the event for free by using the 'T' on their recieve.
