Entartete Musik - banned and destroyed by the Nazis - embraced a wide variety of styles: jazz, atonal music, political cabaret and anything composed by a Jew or an Aryan who had fallen under a Black, Jewish, Bolshevik or homosexual influence. All became synonymous as the Nazis tried to defame musicians who created these challenging new forms of music.
